5 Things about Whitney

1. Whitney is now officially walking, and now trying to run. At her 18 month check-up she was average for her head size and height, but in the fifth percentile for her weight. She eats so much that it’s hard to believe. She has insisted on using a spoon by herself from about 14 months old, so now she's a pro at eating using her own spoon and she rarely spills.

2. Whitney is starting to talk a lot more. She has learned some new words recently for example: more, ball, blanky and baby. There are so many more it is hard to think of them all. It seems like her vocabulary has thripled in the last month.

3. Her hair is starting to grow...finally. The other day I put a clip in it, but she kept taking it out, but then wanted it back in again and again.

4. I think Whitney is almost ready to be potty trained. She tells me when her diaper is wet or poopy(or when she's about to poop) and leads me into her room so I can change her. She's scared of the big potty, so I'll have to get one her size. Any advice from those of you who have potty trained already?

5. At our new house we have an inground trampoline and Whitney loves to "Jump Jump" on it. I was able to get a video of it:

She's so cute! I love how she jumps and that's crazy that she wants to be potty trained allready. That would be nice for you!

She's growing up fast! Good luck with potty training, it's not always easy, but my friend potty trained her little girl at 18 months. It can be done. I would get a small potty and do a lot of reading about potty training and decide what is best for your little girl. If you would like to hear more advice email me and I'll tell you what I have learned and read.

Potty train as early as you can is my advise. If you miss that window where they are aware of what's happening and let them get used to just sitting in it then it will be a lot harder later. Cindy started at 18months and it was great. We just got a potty seat and she really liked it. I am a big believer of potty training early and have tried to be as early as possible with all my kids. Its a lot of work no matter when you decide to do it. Good luck!

Whitney looks great on two feet. It has got to be so much fun to have an in-the-ground trampoline. I hope you are enjoying your new place.

Trampoline's are one of the greatest inventions! (At least for toddlers anyway, when they start doind flips and stuff is when you need to worry.) How great that it's in the ground and she can just go out and get her energy out whenever she wants.

So, I'm way sad that we didn't get any pictures of our rommie reunion. LAME. How could we have forgotten with all the blog talk? It was good seeing you and Jenny, and your kids. We had no down time while we were in Utah, I came home very exhausted, I took all last week to catch up, and just vegged on the couch.
As for Potty training, get the book "Potty Training in a Day". It works! Good luck!
