Christmas Morning we got up and ate breakfast with the family and then opened gifts. It wasn't the relaxing gift opening process that I remember growing up, it was a far from it actually. I felt more like starving animals finally getting food, but I guess it's hard to have a relaxing time with SO many people. Nobody really took turns, we were lucky to see the person we shopped for open his/her gift. With at least 20 people there that morning the gifts
were unwrapped in about 30 minutes...amazing! Anyway, after the hurricane of unwrapping gifts, the kids went outside to play with their toys, others went to eat more breakfast, and finally there was a place on the couch to sit and relax!
We opened our gifts later that afternoon and into the night.
Not that we had a lot to open, but we thought it would be fun to space out opening the few gifts that we did have. This year for my family's Christmas everyone drew names and then set out to make something homemade for the one that we had. Well I think I was the luckiest this year because Cody and Abe drew our names. Cody worked long and hard on an amazing wall hanging representing "Building Your Eternal Home" a talk given by Thomas S. Monson(see 'Favorite Links' to read the talk). Cody your gift really was built with care and sewn with love...Thanks again Cody(and Abe), it will be cherished forever! I got Brigham an Astros outfit, not for him to wear, but for the baby to wear when he takes her to baseball games this season. Dad gave me a beautiful necklace from
the cruise he went on with mom in November. I love it, thanks Dad. I got the game Candyland and Cranium-Turbo edition, and we both gave each other a few DVDs.
The rest of the Christmas week has been relaxing. I've been able to take a nap everyday, and just hangout. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
