This weekend it got cold enough to actually use our fireplace. We have central heat in the house, but we wanted to try to stick out the cold and see how cold it would really get without the heater on. I didn't think we'd need it for at least a few more weeks. Well, it's pretty cold! Luckily, the fire heats the house good enough. There's a blower hooked to it that blows the heat out into the room. We did get a space heater for Whitney's room to make sure that she is warm enough all winter. It's almost impossible to keep her covered with blankets at night because she moves so much in her sleep lately.

I'm jealous. I really miss that kind of weather. Especially during the holidays.

Ahh...so cute! Like I said before can't even imagine being cold right now..crazy.
Not that it is cold here...but we have the same problem with Grant. He wakes up in the morning hugging a bunched up blanket.

Fireplaces bring back good memories of when you kids were young. Go buy Whitney a nice blanket sleeper with feet. The cool air is good to breath at night, then she doesn't need a blanket over her.
